EVENT RECOGNITIONS

2025 - A congressional proclamation was introduced by U.S. Representative Scott Peters (CA-52) in recognition of the Left of Boom Conference and its meaningful contributions since its founding in 2015. The proclamation from the U.S. House of Representatives acknowledges the conference’s role in advancing collaboration and information sharing among law enforcement, intelligence agencies, emergency response organizations, and private-sector partners, strengthening collective preparedness and response capabilities.
2025 - County of San Diego Proclamation was presented by Supervisor Joel Anderson in recognition of the hosting institute for the 10th Annual Left of Boom Conference, officially designating June 18, 2025, as “Intelligence Research Institute Day” across San Diego County..

2024 - County of San Diego Proclamation presented by Supervisor Joel Anderson honoring the hosting institute for the 10th annual Left of Boom and declared 12th of June 2024 as "Intelligence Research Institute Day" throughout San Diego County.
2023 - A congressional proclamation was issued on initiative of U.S. Representative Scott Peters (CA-52). The U.S. House of Representatives proclamation enumerates the many contributions made by the Left of Boom Conference since its inception, since 2015, has promoted collaboration and information sharing among law enforcement agencies, intelligence organizations, emergency response teams, and private sector partners to enhance preparedness and resonse capabilities.
2023 - County of San Diego Proclamation presented by Chairwomen Nora Vargas and Supervisor Joel Anderson honoring the hosting institute and declared 21th of June 2023 as "Intelligence Research Institute Day" throughout San Diego County.
2021 - In recognition and appreciation of the seventh annual Left of Boom Conference, the San Diego County Board of Supervisor Joel Anderson issued a Certificate of Recognition honoring Dr. Akshay Pottathil.
2018 - Coinciding with the start of Left of Boom IV, the San Diego County Board of Supervisors issued a proclamation honoring CICS and declaring May 2, 2018 the "Center for Information Convergence and Strategy Day" throughout the County.
2017 - A congressional proclamation was issued on initiative of U.S. Representative Scott Peters (CA-52). The U.S. House of Representatives proclamation enumerates the many contributions made by CICS since its inception, only three years ago, with technological advances in big data, adaptive intelligence and visualization being crafted into innovative solutions, especially in the mitigation of emerging threats.
2016 - Certificate of Recognition presented to Akshay Pottathil (Co-Director, Center for Information Convergence & Strategy) in honor of coordinating the prestigious Left of Boom Conference Series.
2015 - County of San Diego Proclamation presented by Vice Chairman Dave Roberts and Supervisor Dianne Jacobs honoring the hosting center and declared 6th of May 2015 as "Center for Information Convergence and Strategy Day" throughout San Diego County.
